Open the synth

Privacy

Your patches, sounds and settings are kept in this browser, nowhere else: nothing is sent to a server.

What ModularSynth doesn’t do

  • No account to create.
  • No tracking cookies.
  • No analytics, no ads.

The site is a set of files: once loaded, the synth runs entirely in your browser.

The host

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which protects it from bots and attacks. To do so, Cloudflare may load a small verification script and set a technical security cookie: it tells humans from bots, it does not track you or count your visits. Cloudflare may also receive connection errors to the site, to monitor that it works.

What is kept, and where

  • Your current patch, saved automatically.
  • My Library and your Sampler sounds.
  • Your settings: language, zoom, audio output, voices.

It is all in your browser’s local storage. To erase everything, delete the site’s data in your browser settings.

What about AI?

When you play with an AI, the MCP server runs on your computer and only talks to the open tab. What you write to the AI follows your AI app’s rules, not ModularSynth’s.
