The Trigger Seq programs rhythms: four tracks of 16 steps, one per instrument (kick, snare, hi-hat…). On each rising edge at CLOCK, every track moves one step forward; a track that is lit on that step sends a 10 V gate, as long as the clock pulse. The step being played has a white ring.

The grid

Each track has 16 small buttons: one click turns the step on or off.

Pages

Page A, B, C or D: four step grids, only one playing; the Euclidean settings are shared. Pick a letter: it blinks, then its page starts when the longest track loops (right away if the clock is stopped, or on reset). The grid shows the page playing, locked while another one waits. MIDI learn on a letter drives the whole page setting: a note steps to the next page, a CC sweeps A to D. An empty page plays silence: a break.

Euclidean mode

  • Eucl: the track no longer follows its grid but a computed pattern, shown in its place.
  • Hits: how many hits to place (0 to 16).
  • Len: the pattern length, in steps (1 to 16).
  • Rot.: shifts the pattern to the right.

The Bjorklund algorithm spreads the hits as evenly as it can: 3 over 8 give x..x..x., the tresillo.

Inputs

  • Clock: moves one step forward on each rising edge.
  • Reset: arms a return to the start; the next clock edge plays step 1 again.
  • Hits 1, Hits 2, Hits 3, Hits 4: add one hit per volt to the track, in Euclidean mode.

Outputs

  • T1, T2, T3, T4: the gates of each track, into an ADSR.
